Introduction:

In part 1, a deep dive into myasthenia gravis and what the SLP needs to know about the diagnostic process, review of medical treatments, assessments for swallow, and communication issues were discussed. Once you have identified areas of concern, and the patient begins medical treatment for the myasthenic crisis, the SLP can play a key role in planning rehabilitation for dysarthria, dysphagia, dyspnea, and dysphonia.
