Alexia is an acquired impairment of reading that is common in people with aphasia (Smith & Ryan, 2020), and can result in reduced quality of life (Lee et al., 2015), troubles in performing vocational tasks (Penn & Jones, 2000), and decreased participation in social activities (Howe et al., 2008). This resource is designed to introduce SLP’s to a variety of assessment tools and treatment approaches that they may consider using when working with clients with alexia.
