Speaker Information and Disclosures
Hillary Cooper, M.A., CCC-SLP graduated with her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston in 2011. During her time at the University of Houston, she had the privilege of being the first UH COMD undergraduate to complete a Senior Honor’s Thesis under the supervision of Dr. Margaret Blake and Dr. Martha Dunkelberger and working as Dr. Blake’s research assistant. Upon graduation, Hillary moved to Louisiana, where she has had extensive clinical experience with adults in skilled nursing, outpatient, acute care, and home health. Hillary is a strong advocate for continuing education and has earned two ASHA ACE awards. She is also a member of the Dysphagia Research Society and ASHA SIG-13. She owns and operates Speech Therapy Services of North Louisiana, LLC which contracts with multiple private practice therapy locations to provide outpatient and home health speech therapy services. She is also the owner of North Louisiana Swallow Solutions which is the only Mobile FEES service in North Louisiana. Previously, Hillary has presented at the Louisiana Speech-Language Hearing Association (LSHA) convention and has guest lectured to graduate students at Stephen F. Austin University and University of Louisiana Monroe. She has also been a guest on the Swallow Your Pride Podcast.
