Speaker Information and Disclosures:
Kristen West, MA CCC-SLP is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at PennWest University-Edinboro. In addition, she is a doctoral student pursuing her EdD at Slippery Rock University. Clinically, Kristen has experience in a variety of pediatric settings including early intervention, pediatric acute care, outpatient and school-based services. Prior to joining PennWest, she helped establish a public-school safe feeding program and served as a consultant for the program. Kristen is also a member of SIG-13, PSHA, volunteers with Feeding Matters, and serves on the ASHA topic committee for pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders for the ASHA 2023 convention. In addition, she serves as the ASHA CoA SLP member for PA. Kristen is passionate about advocating for feeding and swallowing services for children and their families across the continuum of care and ensuring equitable access to services for all.

Jessica Lasky is a medical Speech-Language Pathologist that specializes in dysphagia and the adult and geriatric populations. Jessica has worked in nearly every setting possible from outpatient neuro rehabilitation, stroke, and trauma 1 hospitals, acute rehab facilities, and SNFs.
