Describe how to follow the four steps of motivational interviewing (engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning) during common speech-language pathology (SLP) scenarios.

Describe the use of OARS skills (open-ended questions, affirmations, reflections, and summaries) within the context of SLP practice.
COURSE CONTENT
Recorded Agenda:
0-10 minutes- Introduce topic and brief review of executive function
10-15 minutes-Share visual aid to support patient psychoeducation and serve as a framework for treatment
15-30 minutes- Demonstrate treatment techniques integrating reasoning, thought production, problem solving, social comprehension and judgement
30-40 minutes- Describe scoring and documentation
40-60 minutes- Discuss and address questions
