Speaker Information and Disclosures

Oneida Chi, MS, CCC-SLP (they/ them) is a first-generation Chinese American, genderqueer licensed speech-language pathologist from San Francisco. Oneida has worked in schools preK- 12th grade throughout the Bay Area for the last fifteen years. In 2016, they started their private practice, Bay Area Outspoken Speech Services, to work on their voice and assist friends and community members with exploring their voices. Currently they work at the Regional Center with toddlers 0-3, the Gender Health Clinic in Santa Clara, supervise the Gender Affirming Voice Clinic at San Francisco State University, and serve on the CSHA Board Committee of Diversity and Inclusion.

 

Sandy Hirsch, MS, CCC-SLP (she/her) is a cisgender speech-language pathologist (SLP). She has an international reputation in gender affirming voice and communication training. She has co- edited and authored all editions of the Plural Publishing textbook on voice and communication training for TGNC clients (Adler, Hirsch & Mordaunt, 2006, 2012; Adler, Hirsch & Pickering, 2019). Her work has been featured across all media, Stemple & Hapner, 5th ed. and ASHA’s Perspectives. Ms. Hirsch is a presenter at Esprit and Gender Odyssey, and has presented at ASHA, CPATH, the Voice Foundation Symposium, VASTA, Fall Voice, the Art and Science of Performing Voice and MTHF in Victoria, BC. She has lectured at the UW, WWU, and SUNY, New Paltz. Ms. Hirsch is owner of Give Voice in Seattle.
