Speaker Information and Disclosures

Mary Burns, MS, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist and board certified patient advocate. She also obtained certification as a Health Literacy Specialist from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. While she has worked across medical settings since 2014, she is taking time away from clinical care to focus on teaching and using her expertise in communication to help organizations promote better community health outcomes.
