Bridging the Gap: Disparities in Health Care for Marginalized Patients and Employees

Introduction:

Primary Objective:  The purpose of this document is to highlight disparities in health care service delivery for racially or ethnically marginalized patients and the underrepresentation of these marginalized populations in the field of speech-language pathology. Techniques for starting conversations about diversity and inclusion as well as feasible action steps that members can take will be discussed.
